Summary

Many different Tip styles are available which lends versatility to different situations.

  • JL02 is a small bent tip to get into tight spaces
  • K and KU are knife tips, good for drag soldering or duel-weild Irons for desoldering parts.
  • B (aka B2) tip is the default conical tip shipped with Pinecil
  • C1 (not photoed) is the smallest bevel tip, good for smd
  • BC2 is a bevel/hoof tip, an all-purpose tip
  • BC3 is a bevel/hoof tip larger than BC2, all-purpose
  • C4 is the largest bevel/hoof tip, good for soldering wires & desoldering with copper braid
  • D24 is a Chisel/wedge tip, all-purpose, has good heat mass, not good for smd
  • ILS is the smallest conical tip, special purpose smd & micro-soldering
  • I tip is a conical that has more thermal mass than the micro ILS tip but smaller than the B2 conical.
