  • Thanks to longsleep works, the Linux build progress rapidly, This is a build based on longsleep works and may not have all bell and whistles from longsleep and Sunxi community. For latest build, you can create one and following this thread
  • DD image (for 8GB and above SD Card):
  • Based on longsleep xubuntu-xenial 20160507
  • Included Mate Desktop, Firebox Browser, Thunderbird Email, and LibreOffice Suite.
  • Included with Wifi, [Bluetooth still not yet working]
  • Suitable for 1GB/2GB Pine A64+ Board, not advise to run on 512MB Pine A64 Board
  • Login with
    • username: ubuntu
    • password: ubuntu
  • Execute resize_rootfs.sh script to resize the root partition in order to fully utilize the SD Card

Arch Linux with XFCE GUI Image [20160501] based on Longsleep build, updated by Pine64

  • Thanks to longsleep works, the Linux build progress rapidly, This is an OLD build based on longsleep and may not have all bell and whistles from longsleep and Sunxi community. Please note that longsleep no longer support on the ArchLinux development and focus on ubuntu.
  • DD image (for 8GB and above SD Card):
  • Up to date on longsleep uboot, kernel and fixes
  • Included XFCE Desktop, Midori Browser, Thunder Email, LibreOffice Suite, and Gnome MPlayer
  • Included with Wifi, [Bluetooth still not yet working]
  • Suitable for 512MB/1GB/2GB PineA64 Board
  • Login with
    • User Name: alarm Password: alarm
    • User Name: root Password: root
  • Execute resize_rootfs.sh script to resize the root partition in order to fully utilize the SD Card

  • Included Midori Browser, Geary Email, LibreOffice Suite, VLC, and Gimp
  • Suitable for 1GB/2GB Pine A64+ Board, not advise to run on 512MB Pine A64 Board
  • You can flash this in linux using all the regular methods or you can use Win32 Disk Image software or something simular.
  • Gparted is installed and allows you to re-size the rootfs partition to the rest of your drive if it is bigger than an 8GB drive.See the video instruction on how to use Gpart and change login information

openHAB Open Source Home Automation Image Release

openHAB Image base on Ubuntu Linux Longsleep image

  • You need to agree on Oracle Binary Code License Agreement for the Java SE Platform Products and JavaFX in order to download
  • openHAB Image Download
  • Suitable for 1GB/2GB Pine A64+ Board, not advise to run on 512MB Pine A64 Board
  • You can flash this in linux using all the regular methods or you can use Win32 Disk Image software or something similar.
  • This is a "headless" build, the setup process thru serial console, no HDMI vidoe output.
  • Login with
    • username: openhab
    • password: changeit
  • Execute resize_rootfs.sh script to resize the root partition in order to fully utilize the SD Card
  • Includes Oracle JDK 1.8.0
  • openHAB is installed in /opt/openhab
  • openHAB is started as a system service, you can use systemctl for it:
    • sudo systemctl status openhab
    • sudo systemctl stop openhab
    • sudo systemctl start openhab
  • Initial boot can take a few minutes before http://openhab:8080 becomes available.
  • Note: ZWave is NOT yet supported

Remix OS Image Release

Remix OS 2.0 Image Release 20160718

  • This version best suitable for 2GB Pine A64+ Board, can runs on 1GB Pine A64+ Board with performance lagging, not suitable for 512MB Pine A64 Board
  • OTA starts distribute after two weeks when this build confirmed as good released candidate
  • Overall performance improvement
  • Add Remix apps market
  • Video setting supports both 720P and 1080P
  • Supports video screen scaling function
  • New MAC address assignment method, tags to board and SoC unique ID.
  • Support UVC USB camera as front camera
  • Known issues:
    • Not yet support 5M Pixel camera module as real camera
    • Even the HDMI output can set to 720P, but during boot up time, the boot logo stil maintain as 1080P.
