Summary

Research and the proposed fix for the PinePhone microSD card slot extender, as submitted to the Pine Store by dsimic. Some of the included microSD slot pictures were provided by different members of the Pine64 community. This is a compressed version of the document, as a result of the 2 MB file upload limit.

Warning: There was also an addition to this document, which described the need to create a beveled edge at the "microSD card" side of the extender, making its leading edge more similar to the way real microSD cards are designed and manufactured. That's the expected way for the Pine Store to apply the fix to the extenders shipped to the customers, but inspecting the received extender(s) and creating the beveled edge yourself, if needed, is still highly recommended.
